Public Comment Instructions
Cal EMA is requesting either general or specific comments on the 2010 State Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan. Throughout the electronic copy you will find "Post-It Note" icons at the beginning of each section. If you are connected to the Internet and want to comment on a section, just click on the Post-It Note icon for that section and you will be taken to a form where you may enter your comment. It's important that you have a fairly recent version of Adobe Acrobat, which is free. If your Acrobat is older than 7.0, you might have a harder time using the comment system.The first time you enter a comment it will be necessary to enter your contact information. If you prefer, you can ask the system to save your contact information and from then on the form should complete your contact information automatically. Once you have entered a comment the system will provide you with a link where you can review and print any comments you have made. The system is not currently set up to allow deletion of comments; however it is easy to add an additional comment indicating an amendment or cancellation.
**The preferred method for providing comments is through the web link comment form; however, written comments may also be submitted to: Julie Norris-Cal EMA Hazard Mitigation Planning Branch by U.S. mail at the address listed below. If providing comments by this method, please provide the exact chapter, section, and page number for ease of editorial reference along with your name, e-mail address and daytime telephone number.
